Here are a few pictures of the hand dyed leather totes we are working on. The process is to lay out a hide, mark the bag and pockets, dyed the leather, let it dry, cut it, place pockets and sew, then sew up the bag. Then the FUN part is to wet the bag in order to flip it right side out. At the end of the day your hands are black and brown prunes! After all of this you have to let the bags dry with a block inside to give it shape. We are going to attach all of the straps at once to just help stay focused. I will try taking some pictures today of the flipping as I don't have any below.
